Karen Ociepka Anderson, RN
Founder & CEO
Recognizing a unique opportunity in providing dental staff to dental facilities, Karen co-founded Dental Auxiliary Placement Service, Inc. in 1988. As a registered nurse (R.N.), Karen has had a vast array of hands-on experience where, prior to founding DAPS she was a working professional in the health field, practicing in both the medical and dental sectors. Karen has attended many dental workshops, seminars and the Mid-West Dental Convention. She has served as President for the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce in 2009 and as a Board Member for many years with the Chamber. Her hobbies and leisure time activities include: tennis, golf, music and spending time with family and friends.
Linda Sue Ference
Linda Sue joined the DAPS team in December of 2000. As an integral part of the permanent placement department, she is respected for her professionalism and work ethic. She is logical and very adept at handling difficult and timely issues – truly a role model for her coworkers and a pleasure to work with. Prior to her career here at DAPS, Lind held the position of Office Coordinator where she was responsible for all day to day operations for a physician’s office. For Linda Sue, DAPS has provided not a home away from home but a “family away from home.” Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and seeing her husband’s rock band perform in and around the Chicago / Milwaukee markets.
Sharon Ann Carrillo, R.N., B.S.N.
Prior to her tenure at DAPS, Sharon was an R.N. at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chicago. Additionally, she has a great deal of experience in the dental field having served as a Dental Assistant, Dental Receptionist and Dental Billing (she is a certified Dental Coder from the American Dental Coders Association). Sharon began her employment with DAPS, Inc. in September 1992. Sharon initiated the idea and implemented what ultimately evolved into the creation of our Job Board, resulting in our ability to post active job opportunities in real-time on our website. Throughout the years, Sharon has enabled DAPS, Inc. to become the successful business entity it is today. Sharon has two children, one a talented attorney who is the Managing Partner of a law firm in downtown Chicago. The other, Julie received her JD from DePaul Law School and is a lawyer at the Chicago office of a major, global law firm who was recently married. In her free time Sharon enjoys bike riding, jogging, nutrition, golf and travel.
